Welcome to the Sir William Ramsay School website.

All our staff, both teaching and non-teaching, aim to ensure that all our students achieve their best: Our examination results prove this. Our priority is to build the confidence of students and to nurture their talents and interests, whether academic, sporting or creative.

In 2000 we were designated by the DFES as Buckinghamshire's first Arts College and in 2004 we achieved Arts Mark Gold. We are considered to be a centre of excellence for the Visual Arts and in 2009 Ofsted stated "The school's visual arts specialism is outstanding and used in an exemplary fashion to drive up standards across the whole school". We expect all our students to benefit from our status by having plenty of opportunities to develop their creativity and acquire new skills.

We also believe that our students need clear rules, as well as support from adults and from other students. To help us achieve this we stress the importance of self-discipline and caring.

We want our students to be happy in our school, to acquire a thirst for knowledge, to learn how to become good citizens and to feel a real sense of purpose in their lives.
