Studying information technology provides our students with the knowledge, skills and experience necessary to keep abreast of this rapidly changing field, in addition to gaining a core set of IT skills that are relevant in almost every industry.
ICT is delivered 1 hour per fortnight through Key Stage 3 and we cover a range of units during the three years, including eSafety, Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), Graphic design, Web design and programming. We also offer BTEC Level 2 (GCSE equivalent) at Key Stage 4 and BTEC Level 3 (A Level equivalent) at Key Stage 5 and the vocational nature of these courses gives students an excellent insight into how ICT impacts business and the world around them.
