Years 9 & 10 Remote Learning
Dear Parents and Carers of Years 9 and 10
Due to an increase in the number of school staff who have been alerted by the governments track and trace system and told to self-isolate, we are now in a position where we are unable to provide cover for all classes in school.
We will therefore be adopting ‘remote learning’ for all Year 9s and 10s from tomorrow, Tuesday 15th December 2020, until the end of term on Thursday 17th December 2020. Teaching and learning will continue for all students via online lessons delivered using Microsoft Teams.
The school will remain open for Year 9 and 10 Students who are considered ‘vulnerable’ (EHCP or have a Social Worker) or whose parents/carers are front line key workers*. If your child(ren) falls into one of these categories and you intend to send them in to school tomorrow, please click here to notify us by 6pm today.
* Please note that if your child falls into either of these categories but is already self-isolating prior to today, Monday 14th December 2020, they will NOT be able to attend school until their period of isolation has finished.
Students attending school should, where possible, bring their own device/laptop and must bring headphones which can be used to log in to their Teams lessons. Please note that lessons for these students will still be delivered remotely via Teams.
Students in Y9 should register in IT1
Students in Y10 should register in IT5
Please note that students attending should wear school uniform as usual.
